What is hypnosis?

I practice transpersonal hypnosis, which is a spiritual tool. Hypnosis is a method whereby an individual can relax completely and focus at the same time in order to access brainwave states, such as theta, which allow for access to our subconscious mind while still being fully aware and awake. In this way, I believe, we can access information stored in our subconscious as well as, in a spiritual sense, communicate, with the superconscious, or with our higher self and spirit guides.

What is being in a hypnotic state feel like?

It feels different for everyone, but most people find it very relaxing. Being in hypnosis feels like being very relaxed, calm, comfortable, but still awake and focused. When accessing past lives, during hypnosis, it feels like a heightened state of imagination, where you may get impressions, thoughts, feelings, or other sensations, perhaps even just knowings. Learning to trust these impressions is a part of practicing transpersonal hypnosis.

What if I don’t “see” anything?

Most people sense information in different ways. Some people are visual and some people are not as visual. Others may get knowings or hear words, sense smells or sounds. I, for example, tend to get impressions and knowings with a few images, but even the images or more like impressions to me. It feels to me just like I am imagining, but at the same time, the messages are always something I could have never come up with on my own. As the facilitator, I can walk you through the process, no matter whether you have an initial impression or not. That’s why I’m there!

Why hypnosis and music?

Hypnosis and music both have healing properties. Hypnosis accesses the subconscious mind while still keeping the conscious mind active, so it’s a great way to find out things you may not be aware of about yourself . Music is a wonderful way to heal because music is essentially vibration and, as we are composed of energy at various rates of vibration, healing music can bring us into beautiful alignment, affect out brainwave states, increase states of well-being, and help us to release emotional blockages.
